NCAIS Honor Band 2017

NCAIS Honor Band 2017

The goal of the NCAIS Honor Band, founded in 2009 by Mr. Grush, is to give students the opportunity to perform with a large concert band comprised of the most talented 6th-12th grade concert band musicians from the NC Association of Independent Schools. Any 6th-12th grade student enrolled in an NCAIS independent school during the 2017-18 school year and who plays a concert band instrument is eligible to participate. Students are nominated by their band director and selected by a committee of participating directors.

In this, our 9th year, the 2017 NCAIS Honor Bands include over 170  students from 27 independent schools, conducted by Dr. Evan Feldman and Dr. Arris Golden from UNC-CH.
