Playing Appointments for this week
If you signed up to play for Mr. Grush, please make sure you have given yourself a reminder. If you cannot come, it is too late to change the electronic schedule. However, once you get to class, simply cross your name off the paper copy on the inside bandroom door and write your name in another square. The paper copy on the door becomes the official schedule each Monday.
Preparation Assessment (#1 for US, #2 for MS)
Thurs. 9/22 by 11:59pm – Preparation Assessments due for all classes. In addition to the choices listed on your class syllabus, you may also choose to record one of our concert pieces. However, you must record yourself playing along with the sample audio file from my audio folder.
Sometime BEFORE Thursday night, make sure you have tested the following:
- MusicFirst – can you log in and open the assignment?
- Audacity, Soundforge, or other recording software/device – can you listen to the sample audio file WITH HEADPHONES while you record yourself?
- Mixing – can you mix your recording with the sample audio file so both can be heard?
- Exporting as mp3 – do NOT try to upload .WAV or .AUP files. They won’t work. Only upload MP3’s.
