A “Master Class” is basically a lesson taught by a professional in that field. Today, we watched one with the director Ron Howard about scripts and story-writing from a Director’s perspective. He directed many movies such as Solo – A Star Wars Story, Rush, Apollo 13, TheĀ DaVinci Code, and A Beautiful Mind. We will use the information from this to help us understand film-making and the work behind creating a good script and storyboard for a film.

Day 1 Post 2 – Monty Python
We are going to watch the film “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” and will observe cinematic elements. We will periodically stop to discuss which elements both in cinematic elements and camera angles/directions/movements are most prominent and how they are shown.

Getting ready to start our film-making discovery term! We will go over several clips from famous movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Avengers – Infinity War and analyze their cinematic techniques and how those techniques impacted the final product.
